Professor Okwuashi Alexander Favour was born in Burutu, He is a native of Illah, Oshimili North L.G.A of Delta State, Where he was elected and served as L.G.A Chairman. • A graduate in English Language at The University of Benin, Nigeria. He served at NYSC programme in Niger State in 1984. He lectured on a wide range of Transport Shipping and Maritime studies. • Professor Okwuashi proceeded to bag another B.Sc (Business Admin), MBA Business Admin/Management (Delsu), MSc (Maritime Labour Management), Master Degree in Transport Management (with specialization in Shipping Management). He holds PhD in Public Administration (Marine Matter) and PhD in Management and Strategy. PROFESSOR OKWUASHI ALEX FAVOUR, FCIS (BA, BSC, MA, MBA, MSC, MTM, PhD) (Proprietor/Fellow of Certified Institute of Shipping Nigeria) • Since 1979, Professor taught at various levels and at different Institutions. He lectured at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology; and was a Director at the Postgraduate school for Part-Time Sandwich programme. • Okwuashi was appointed Dean of Technological University of America, Suriname, as a Professor of Logistics and Transport Management. • A friend of The Nigeria Navy, lectured and taught at Seminars and workshops at various CONSACS, Maritime Warfare College, and NN School at Quorra, Seapower for Africa Symposium etc. • He was largely responsible for upgrading of Naval Certification of Officers and men of Nigerian Navy as requirement and qualification for Higher Degree of Postgraduate Diploma and Master Degree programmes at LAUTECH. • Okwuashi Alexander is a Professor of Maritime Administration with very keen interest in Maritime Domain Awareness covering a wide range of studies in the areas of Maritime Security and Safety issues, Maritime Environment and Hydrography, International Shipping and Logistics Management. • Professor Okwuashi Alex worked as Commercial and Operations Manager of Globe Shipping Lines and New Nigeria Limited respectively. He was a Managing Director of Delta Ocean Lines and Marine Service Ltd. • Okwuashi is the founder of The Certified Institute of Shipping of Nigeria and College of Maritime Transport Management and Technology. • Professor Okwuashi Alex is an ordained Reverend of over 23 years ago and had various Degrees – BA Theology, MA and PhD in Theology and Ministry from School of the Spirit, USA. He is a teacher of the Word of God. • Professor Okwuashi Alexander is a member of various professional bodies namely:- – Fellow Institute of Securities of Nigeria – Fellow of Chartered Institute of Nigeria among others – Fellow Chartered Institute of Local Government and Public Administration. Fellow Maritime Institute among others • Professor Okwuashi is an author of many books and articles, researcher and public speaker in Maritime, Transport, Shipping and Logistics Issues. • He loves sports and fishing and consulting on a wide range of issues. • Professor Okwuashi is married with children and grand children
